Mr. Penton was predeceased by his siblings Winnifred, John and Bruce. There will be no prior visitation. Was working in General Electric and met Chris while she was also working there.
Joined the Navy in April 1944.
Wanted to join the Royal Canadian Air Force and was turned down because of colorblindness. Perhaps because of my technical experience at General Electric, the Air Force wanted me in the same type of work, but dismissed that because they said I would never be able to distinguish all the colors of wires that are a part of an airplane. The criteria must have been different
for Bruce perhaps of his yearning for medicine ? He didn't want to be in the Army, and would have soon been drafted so that's why he chose the Navy.
