Dr. Simeon Franklin Penton, 95, a resident of Penton Lane, Wetumpka, AL, died March 12, 1984 after an extended illness in a Montgomery Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday Mar 14, 1984 at 1000 am from the First Baptist church, Wetumpka, AL. A private graveside service will follow at Pineview Cemetery. Gassett Hudman Funeral Home directing. Survivors include one son, Robert Simeon Penton, Tuscaloosa, AL, one daughter Mary Frank Penton Wetumpka, AL, one sister, Bess Granger, Equality, AL, four grandchildren, Simeon Franklin Penton III, Laura Penton Hellpern, Mary Cynthia Penton, Marie Scott Penton, Two great grandchildren, Jacquelyn Taylor Hellpern and Cynthia Scott Klein Hellpern.

Elmore dentist dies after illness. Dr. Simon Franklin Penton, who practiced denistry in Elmore County for 50 years died Monday in a local hospital following a brief illness, a relative said he was 95. He attended the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, was a member of the Alabama Dental Association and the University of Maryland Alumni Association. The funeral will be 1000 am Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Wetumpka followed by graveside service for the family only. Penton was married to the former Ann Duane Cousins and is survived by one son. Sim Penton of Tuscaloosa, one sister, Bess Granger of Montgomery, one daughter Mary Frank Penton of Wetumpka, and four grandchildren, Mrs. William Hellpern of Montgomery, Sim F Penton III of Bham, Scott Penton of Tuscaloosa, and Cynthia Penton of Baton Rouge LA.
