R S B Penton, 85, died at his home Tuesday afternoon. Survivors are two sons,

Dr. J. R. Penton Montgomery, and Dr. S. S. Penton, Wetumpka, two daughters,

Mrs. G. B. Arant and Mrs. Ellis Granger both of Equality, one brother George W.

Penton Montgomery, 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral will be

held from Bethesda Church.

Equality Citizen Feted on 80th Birthday. R. S. B. Penton celebrated his 80th

Birthday here recently with more than 200 relatives and friends attending. The

occasion was given in his honor by his children all of whom were present except

Dr. and Mrs. J. R. Penton of Montgomery, who were absent on account of illness.

The children present were: Mr & Mrs. Ellis Granger, Equality, Mr and Mrs.

Britt Arant, Dr & Mrs. S. F. Penton, Wetumpka. The following grandchildren

were present Martha, Ellis, Bess and Mary Granger, Equality. Mr & Mrs. Onie

glenn Montgomery, Will and Loyd Cousins, Mr. & Mrs. Penton Cousins, Wetumpka,

Miss Sara Cousins, Atlanta, GA, Mary Frank Penton Wetumpka, Randolph and George

Blue Penton Montgomery, one great grandchild Onie glenn Jr of Montgomery.
